"James MacArthur: All American Kid"

Nobody makes up Jamie's mind for him. He listens, then follows his heart -- when he knows he's right!

They said it couldn’t be done. So Jamie MacArthur did it. They said kids of famous parents almost never make good in show business. And Jamie had a double hex -- both his Mom (star Helen Hayes) and his Dad (celebrated playwright Charles MacArthur) were famous as famous could be. What to do? Give up? Or follow his belief that his instincts were right -- and that he could make a name on his own? Jamie followed his heart. If you’ve seen him as the misunderstood teenager in The Young Stranger, you know how right Jamie’s decision was! Crewcut, boy-next-door handsome, and a prep school baseball, football, basketball star, Jamie’s just twenty. A freshman at Harvard, Jamie’s second movie’s already in the works. We know his fans will be happy to see this all-American kid again -- and again!
