James MacArthur Sings! (Sort Of) James MacArthur's first record, released in 1961 on the Triodex label, then re-released in 1963 on the Scepter label, was The In-Between Years/Teenage Tears. It featured The Earls as backup. The song finished on 1961's Top 100 Radio Hits at #93. His second record, also released by Scepter in 1963, was The Ten Commandments of Love/Padre. A fifth song, A Girl Needs to Love, was recorded at the same time as Ten Commandments and Padre, but never publically released. James MacArthur's short-lived singing career also included a brief live tour of the country in early 1964 under the aegis of Dick Clark. Each of his five recordings can be heard by clicking on the appropriate graphic at right. |
