The Hasty Heart Fiesta Dinner Playhouse, San Antonio, Texas (21 April - 24 May 1981) Appearing as Sergeant Lachlan McLachlan A comedy-drama in three acts by John Patrick. The story tells of a wounded Scottish soldier (James MacArthur) whose last few weeks of life, spent in a convalescent ward of a hospital in the Orient, are changed by the sympathetic treatment his fellow patients try to give him -- and his stubborn rejection of this. The man's extreme independence of spirit nearly wrecks the good intentions of those who want to make him happy, but at the last -- particularly after he falls in love with the nurse -- he learns the great lesson of love for his neighbor.
