Broadcast 7 November 1977 on the ABC television network. Participating with other representatives of then-current CBS television series in events such as the kayak race, touch football, golf, and a relay race, James MacArthur and his teammates put in a valiant effort, but unhappily finished third against representatives from NBC and ABC programming in this 90-minute, quasi-sporting event. the third in a series that continued until well into the 1980s. Other celebrities featured included Robert Conrad, Jimmie Walker, Penny Marshall, Kevin Dobson, Victor French, Jamie Farr, Valerie Bertinelli, Larry Wilcox, Adrienne Barbeau, Cheryl Ladd, Billy Crystal, and Dan Haggerty.
